About AIMS College Prep Middle School

AIMS College Prep Middle School serves 212 inner-city students from grades 6 – 8. The focus of AIMS Middle School has been excellent student attendance (99.5%), which helps ensure the academic needs of our students. AIMS Middle School received the Blue Ribbon Award, which is given to the top 200 schools in the nation. They received the CAPP Award for innovative practices during the pandemic. Our students have also exceeded the standards set forth by the No Child Left Behind Act each year.  Demographically, approximately 56% of AIMS Middle School students qualify for free and reduced lunch, 99% are minorities, and 75% speak English as a second language.

Race/Ethnicity

AIMS Middle School is a vibrant and diverse learning community, reflecting a rich tapestry of cultures and backgrounds. The student body includes 38.7% Asian, 34% African American, and 11.8% Hispanic students, alongside smaller but meaningful representations of White (5.7%), Filipino (1.4%), Two or More Races (3.8%), American Indian (0.5%), and Pacific Islander (0.5%) students. This diversity fosters a dynamic environment where students are exposed to a variety of perspectives and experiences, helping them grow into empathetic, culturally aware, and globally minded individuals.
