Welcome Message from Marco Menéndez, New Interim Executive Director
Dear AIMS Community,
It is with deep commitment and clarity of purpose that I step into the role of Interim Executive Director for the AIMS K12 College Prep Charter District. I come to this work with a deep respect for the legacy of AIMS, an unwavering belief in the brilliance of our students, and a firm commitment to equity, accountability, and excellence in education.
We are at a pivotal moment in our story: a time to reflect, realign, and rise together. Over the next year, we will focus our energy on strengthening trust, restoring shared purpose, and ensuring that every student, regardless of background, learning style, or need, receives a world-class education grounded in rigor, relevance, and belonging.
Together, we will:
Build a strong, unified team grounded in transparency, collaboration, and high expectations.
Ensure academic excellence through data-driven teaching, targeted supports, and high-quality learning environments.
Create schools of belonging where every student and adult feels seen, safe, and supported.
Partner with families and the broader community to elevate student voice, parent leadership, and a culture of shared accountability.
Uphold the integrity of our commitments to one another, to our mission, and to the metrics that ensure we remain in good standing and worthy of renewal.
This vision is not mine alone. It is ours to co-create. My door is open, my commitment is firm, and my belief in what we can accomplish together is limitless.
Let’s write the next chapter together, and ensure AIMS is not only a set of high-performing charter schools, but a vibrant, united community where every student thrives and every voice matters.
In partnership,
Marco Menéndez
