AIMS K-12 College Prep Charter District Updated Promotion/Retention Policy

The AIMS K-12 College Prep Charter District’s updated Promotion/Retention Policy ensures students progress annually by meeting grade-level standards in Math and English Language Arts. Teachers will use regular assessments to track growth and notify families through progress reports every three weeks. If a student is not meeting expectations by the second report, a Student Success Team will develop a personalized support plan. Retention considerations focus on key transition grades, though parents have the right to refuse retention through a formal written objection. For students with IEPs, decisions will align with their plans, and high school promotion is based on credit and A-G completion.
