Dear AIMS Families,
Today marks the beginning of our 2020-2021 school year. We are excited to once again welcome you and your children. This year is unlike any other year we have seen in AIMS history. Despite the challenges of California’s shelter-in-place, we are confident in the systems that have been established toward the success for you and your children. This year grade kindergarten through 12th grade opened virtually. AIMS over the past week has given out approximately 1,000 laptops for student use. Teachers received two weeks of training and preparation, and time has been established for parents and guardians to be trained on the system that your student will be using this year. Materials and curriculum have been given out to families, special programs like ELD and Special Education are beginning, and the lunch program is scheduled to start this week.
Something to keep in mind this year, if you are not in ParentSquare, please sign up, if you have not completed your emergency form, please do so, and complete your lunch program application this week.
As a community, we are in separate homes. We, however, are not isolated. I am excited to report that each Head of School is working diligently to maintain a sense of family and community. I am optimistic about the first day of school, knowing that as a family, we are AIMSTRONG!

Estimadas familias de AIMS,
Hoy marca el comienzo de nuestro año escolar 2020-2021. Estamos emocionados de darle la bienvenida una vez más a usted y a sus hijos. Este año es diferente de cualquier otro año que hayamos visto en la historia de AIMS. A pesar de los desafíos del refugio en el lugar de California, confiamos en los sistemas que se han establecido para que usted y sus hijos tengan éxito. Este año, el grado kínder hasta que el grado 12 se abrió virtualmente. AIMS durante la última semana ha entregado aproximadamente 1,000 computadoras portátiles para uso de los estudiantes. Los maestros recibieron dos semanas de capacitación y preparación, y se ha establecido un tiempo para que los padres y tutores reciban capacitación sobre el sistema que su estudiante usará este año.
